Localised Body Fat – Body Contouring and Fat Reduction
Localised Body Fat
Body Contouring and Fat Reduction
At one time body contouring and fat reduction was only achievable using expensive and risky surgery. Today it is possible to achieve very good results without the discomfort, infection risk and price tag of liposuction surgery using the latest non surgical techniques. The advantages of non surgical techniques for fat reduction are the lack of downtime, no risk of post operative infections and a smaller price tag. We offer tailor made body contouring treatments including cryo lipolysis and ultrasonic cavitation to help you achieve the body you want. Call us today on 01962 809937.
Non Surgical Lipolysis.
Lipolysis is the term used to desrcibe the process of fat removal or the metabolism of fat by the body. Surgical liposuction involves liquidising the fat in the body and then removing it using suction. This treatment can cause trauma to underlying tissues and severe discomfort. The patient must also wear a supportive body stocking or girdle to support the area for some time after surgery.
There are several ways that body contouring and fat reduction can be achieved. It can be achieved using low level laser light (often called laser lipo or ilipo). This treatment whilst helping to drain the contents of the fat cells in the treatment area, will not remove the cells themselves. This means that fat cells are always free to refill! At the Evolutions Clinic we offer Ultrasound Cavitation as our main stay fat reduction treatment because it gets much better and more permanent results than laser lipolysis.
Ultrasound cavitation actively destroys the fat cells leaving the released fat nowhere to go! The released fat is gradually metabolised by the body and the cell debris is disposed of as part of the healing process. Cavitation is often used for body contouring and fat reduction post liposuction surgery to even out the results. Cavitation can produce excellent results on it’s own, it just takes a bit longer than surgery. Typically a course of treatment with cavitation would last around 8 weeks. However the benefits of cavitation are obviously that there is no down time or discomfort though you may notice a reduced appetite or nausea post treatment. This is normal and indicates the treatment is breaking down fat cells. Read more about ultrasonic cavitation>>
Body contouring and skin tightening is achieved using fractional tri-polar radio frequency. Radio frequency or RF will remove some subcutaneous fat but its main purpose is to tighten skin. Skin that has been left crêpey because of childbirth can be given a new tighter lease of life using RF. Radio Frequency will also reduce stretch marks. Read more about radio frequency>>
Dermology is a technique that involves massaging the skin using suction and rollers to break down cellulite. Dermology is body contouring rather than fat reducing, giving you a smoother outline. Particularly useful for orange peel skin on thighs and buttocks. Read more about cellulite treatment>>
Electrophoresis is used to enhance the effectiveness of other treatment protocols such as Dermology, Mesotherapy and Cryo-Lipolysis in body contouring and fat reduction. It works by affecting the electrical charge within the molecules of water in the cells which will in effect pull those molecules into the cell helping flush out the toxins associated with fatty deposits. Cryo fat reduction or Cool Sculpting as it is known in the States uses low temperature to cause fat cell death. Cryo fat reduction is probably the most focussed of the non surgical techniques for body contouring and fat reduction and also the most localised in application. It is great for getting rid of pouches of fat such as those found on the stomach or the so called “muffin top” Read more about cryo lipolysis>>
