What Is Ultrasonic Cavitation And What Does It Do?
Ultrasonic Cavitation is a natural phenomenon that has been harnessed and used as a body contouring treatment that offers more permanent results than Laser Lipo or Contour body wraps. Cavitation doesn’t just help the fat cells to release fat, it actually destroys them. What’s more, there is no post treatment exercise required! However, the treatment isn’t for everyone. How Ultrasound Cavitation Works
Ultrasonic cavitation, also called fat cavitation or cavitation lipolysis is a non-surgical technique that allows localized fat cells to be broken down and dispensed of naturally by the body. Your body will disposes of the fat in the normal way that it deals with metabolic waste, ie through the kidneys and liver. For this reason it is important to drink plenty of fluids after your treatment. The ultrasound cavitation process utilises ultrasound waves, which create a bubble in the tissue of the fat cells. The bubble then expands and compresses rapidly, creating a temperature increase and an implosion of the fat cell. With this implosion, the fat cells and cellulite are damaged, which reduces them to a liquid. The idea may sound a little extreme but it is completely painless and has been proven safe within the surgical field where it is an established technique. Once the membranes of these cells are broken down, they can be picked up via the liver and kidneys and expelled from the body. Since the fat cells also contain water you might notice an increased desire to urinate post treatment as your body begins the metabolic waste removal process.

Ultrasound Cavitation lipolysis is a painless treatment. Mild redness may appear occasionally where the treatment head is moved over the target area. The heat caused by the equipment is perfectly tolerable and can be described as a relaxing warm sensation. Ultrasound cavitation can be used to treat areas such as thighs, abdomen and buttocks.
